Synopsis
"Sometimes never is a distorted perception. I love you, Hope. And I'm not the only one. I know you care about me. I see it in your eyes. I feel it. Everybody needs love. Everybody. And some people need it more than others. You're a liar if you say you don't. I'll do that for you. I'll love you. All you have to do is let me." –Sometimes Never
What happened in the years between the final chapter and epilogue of Sometimes Never? Blackbird is an 18,000+ word novella that continues Mason and Hope's story as they finish high school, start separate colleges, and confront their demons.
What a perfect glimpse into
the time between the final Chapter and the Epilogue of Sometimes Never. True to fashion, Hope gives Mason a run for
his money while trying to come to grips with her inner strengths. Mason, ever the strong and constant boyfriend could always find ways to make
Hope laugh and show her how much he loves her.
I love their completely imperfect relationship and how they find ways to make it work.
At times, I thought some of the chapters felt a little rushed but then again that could have been me wanting more of Mason and Hope’s story. I had to keep reminding myself that it is a novella. All that said, the book was very entertaining and I truly enjoyed getting a peak into their lives while at college.

Thank you for filing in the
blanks from Sometimes Never. Once again
