Opposites in every way . . . except the one that matters
Shaw Landon loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule is everything a straight--A pre-med student like Shaw shouldn't want--and the only person she's never tried to please. She isn't afraid of his scary piercings and tattoos or his wild attitude. Though she knows that Rule is wrong for her, her heart just won't listen.
To a rebel like Rule Archer, Shaw Landon is a stuck-up, perfect princess-and his dead twin brother's girl. She lives by other people's rules; he makes his own. He doesn't have time for a good girl like Shaw-even if she's the only one who can see the person he truly is.
But a short skirt, too many birthday cocktails, and spilled secrets lead to a night neither can forget. Now, Shaw and Rule have to figure out how a girl like her and a guy like him are supposed to be together without destroying their love . . . or each other

MY REVIEW
Rule Archer is hot, tattooed, pierced, has crazy out of control hair and treats women as scores. Shaw Landon is the daughter of a wealthy family, always dressed to impress and living the life she is “suppose” to be living. At first glance you think this will be the classic case of opposites attract but oh no it is so much more than it appears.
"Opposites don't just attract they freaking catch fire and burn the entire city down."
In this story, Crownover gives us the good, the bad and the ugly right up front. She didn’t just stop there, the story twist and turns in surprising ways and definitely leaves you always wanting more.
Shaw has been a part of the Archer family since she was 14 and in love with Rule since the day she met him. However, Rule only ever saw Shaw as Remy’s girl. Remy was Rule’s clean cut twin brother that was tragically killed a couple of years ago whereas leaving a whole in the Archer family and Rule feeling he was missing his other half.
"I loved Rule like it was my mission in life. I loved him like it was inevitable. Like no matter how many times I was shown what an awful idea it was, what a bad match we were, what a callous asshole he could be, I couldn't shake it."
Then one night it all changes and everyone’s world is turned upside down. I loved the heat, the edginess and most of all I loved the way Shaw could see Rule and I mean really could see him for all his glory.
"Here's my heart Shaw. You have it in your hands and I promise you're the first and the last person to ever touch it. You need to be careful with it because it's far more fragile than I ever thought and if you try and give it back I'm not taking it."
Yes the original version had it problems with editing but as a debut novel I was willing to overlook them because the story was so amazing. Crownover’s alternating points of view were spot on. I think Jay Crownover is a talented author and can’t wait to read Jet and any other book she pens.
Rule is a solid 4.5 star read!
My review of JET IS HERE
AUTHOR BIO
Jay Crownover is the best-selling author of Rule. Like the characters in her Marked Men series, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she'll settle for writing stories with interesting characters and that make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.
