I have to admit that I popped my Love Me With Lies cherry for this tour. Oh of course, I have heard all about the series BUT to be honest I was just a little bit scared of the wild ride my heart would take….
Thief is the third and final book in the Love Me With Lies series. It is not intended to be read as a stand alone and it perfectly wraps up the series! After getting Olivia’s POV in The Opportunist and Leah’s POV in Dirty Red, I was almost aching for Caleb’s POV. Boy oh boy did Tarryn delivery! In Thief, we not only see how much he truly loves Olivia BUT some secrets behind the heartbreaks were revealed.
Right out of the gate it is apparent Caleb is determined to get Olivia back.
“Yeah, you got married, didn’t you? But, you only did it because you thought we were over - and we’re not over. We’ll never be over. If you think that little piece of metal on your finger can shield off your feelings for me, you’re wrong. I wore one for five years and there wasn’t a day that went by where I wasn’t wishing it were you.”
It is sad to think, that two people who truly love each other are torn apart time and time again by their own actions. After all the angst in the first two books, I wanted to go straight to the Epilogue (but I didn't).
“I make you vulnerable because you love me. That’s the price you pay for love.”
Both Caleb and Olivia have grown so much over the years. Olivia rose to the top of her field, winning case after case and achieving all the goals she set for herself, many years ago. Caleb took his rightful seat at the top of his step father’s company. Always doing the things he was groomed to believe were “right”.
You will ask yourself, how can two driven and successful people let the one thing they truly desire evade their lives? Will they learn to overcome themselves in order to find true love?
I highly recommend this emotional series. Tarryn Fisher pushes you to the edge and then pulls you back, time and time again. I promise you will want to punch someone while reading it BUT in the end she will heal your heart and you will be grateful you picked up these amazing books!
