STEPH'S REVIEW
5 heart touching stars!!!
She carried the guilt of not fighting when she thought she should have, and I carried the scar of what happened when you did. We had each reacted differently in a moment of terror, and yet we both still hurt. Maybe there was no right or wrong, no black or white, only a thousand shades of grey when it came to pain and what we each held ourselves responsible for.
I kept hearing about this HOT new release by the very talented Mia Sheridan so I grabbed the book and completely devoured it!  Like so many before me I fell in love with Archer Hale and after reading it for the third time... I am still in a fog, I have a book hangover that tops all book hangovers! I might start calling it my Archer hangover!

To say I loved this book, the characters and their heartbreaking stories is an understatement... In ways it kinda feels like I am selling the depth in which this story touched me. No review I write could possibly do justice to this beautifully crafted story but here is my attempt to persuade you to BUY THIS BOOK TODAY!!!

Bree Prescott is the young twenty something woman looking for a place to start over. One day she jumps in her car and starts driving and finds herself in Pelion, Maine. She hopes this quiet town can help her escape the flashbacks and nightmares that are gripping her.

Archer Hale is the town’s recluse. He suffered a terrible injury during an accident that also took his parent’s life. He was left to be raised by an uncle who suffered from paranoia and therefore never let Archer leave their property. After his uncle passed Archer would venture in to town for supplies but never socialized with anyone, he was nearly invisible and preferred to keep it that way.
I was a freak. I was out here alone and isolated for a reason - I was to blame for so much tragedy, so much pain.
I was worthless.
Bree arriving in Pelion was a turning point for both her and Archer. They each saw things in one another that had gone unnoticed by others.
“They don’t know who you are, Archer. They have no idea. And they don’t deserve to know. Don’t let their judgment hurt you.”
Even though their connection is immediate they both are unsure of how to proceed. Bree was not looking for a relationship and Archer doesn’t even know where to start. They take the time to get to know each other first building a strong foundation for more. And when they finally take it there, when they finally admit their feelings for one another it’s both touching and explosive. They are a beautiful couple that embrace each other and their haunting secrets.
“I’m here for you. I’m here because of you. I’m here because you saw me, not just with your eyes, but with your heart. I’m here because you wanted to know what I had to say and because you were right… everyone does need friends… I am here because of you, he said, and I’ll always be here because of you."
This book makes you really believe in the idea that there is one perfect person for everyone because in reading this I truly believed that Bree was made for Archer. The way that she accepts him for what he is, who he is and brings him out of his shell, helps him to find himself is beautiful to watch. No one could have been as perfect for him as she was and when it comes down to it he was the perfect person for her too. There is so much about this book that pulls you into the story, at times I even felt like I was watching a movie. You will laugh, ache, cry and cherish every single word in the amazing story!
