SYNOPSIS
WARNING: Author believes in soul mates and insta-love. Proceed with caution if you're not a romantic at heart.

Six hundred minutes. That’s all it took ex-SEAL Kade Kingston to find trouble his first day home. He’d managed to survive covert operations in the hostile mountains of Afghanistan, only to be brought down by a baseball bat. If he had the first five hundred minutes back, he would have only had one drink before insisting his old friend tell him what the hell was going on. As it stood now, he and Sutton were both dead in the water—literally and figuratively. Six hundred minutes. That’s all it took for Kade Kingston to walk back into hell in his own backyard, losing everything in the process . . . including his freedom.

Inmate dog trainer, Harley Dash, knew Kade briefly as a teenager and was convinced of his innocence. Wanting to help the brooding ex-SEAL, she took it upon herself to force Kade into the Inmate Dog Training Program while she looked for a killer. With Kade confined, Harley and her father, along with two sexy SEALs, looked for evidence that would set Kade free.

Unfortunately, for Kade, Sutton's murder was just the tip of the iceberg in a case of corruption and murder, one that will send Kade and Harley into the Florida Everglades with a killer.

Will they survive the alligators of the Florida Everglades, or will the Dread Pirate Roberts exact his revenge?

REVIEW
“Everything about him screamed danger, dominant male, and sex.”

Framed is the story of a former Navy SEAL, Kade Kingston mets girl next door, Harley Dash.  This couple shares a very loosely weaved history that teases us with electric attraction.  As years past and their paths crossed Kade always kept his distance from her innocence.
“Six hundred minutes, that’s all it took to lose everything he’d worked so hard for, including his freedom.”
Kade returns to his childhood home to care for his dying Grandfather.  Within hours of his return Kade finds himself wrongly accused of a murder he didn’t commit.  With no support and very little funds, Kade is convicted and sent to prison.

As luck would have it, Harley is a trainer for abused dogs and runs a program pairing up dogs with inmates at the prison where Kade is incarcerated.  Kade barely contains his shock when he sees Harley standing right in front of him, in the very last place he expected to see her... PRISON.

“...the girl who’d secretly watched the boy, had grown into a woman who desired more than anything to be with the man he’d become.”

I have read a few of Ms. Smith’s book and am familiar with her “insta-love” approach.  For me, I wish some of Kade’s thoughts would have been more developed before he “claimed” the one that got away.  That said I enjoyed Framed and recommended it when you are in the mood for a bossy, brooding ALPHA.

Framed is a standalone and bound to keep you on the edge of your seat.  It is quickly revealed that there is more than meets the eye in this story.  I enjoyed the twists and turns!  I am hoping she has plans for more Navy SEAL books because something tells me Kade’s team members have a lot to share with us!
Rating 3.5 Stars (standalone)
